Sky Broadband (BSkyB) has launched a new Christmas promotion that offers 6 months free unlimited broadband and free weekend calls to both new customers and existing Sky TV subscribers, after which the price will return to just £10 a month (£7.50 with Sky TV).
As usual a 12 month contract period applies to the package and customers will still have to pay Sky Line Rental (£14.50 a month). Sadly the deal only applies to Sky’s standard broadband and not it’s superfast Sky Fibre Unlimited (FTTC) service, which offers download speeds of up to 38Mbps from £20 a month. But take note that the fibre service is currently running at half price for the first 3 months (i.e. £10 a month).
Sky’s Unlimited Broadband and Calls Package
* Up to 14Mbps “typical” download speeds (20Mbps max)
* Truly unlimited usage
* Inclusive weekend UK calls
* Free Sky Hub Wireless Router (N Spec)
* Free Unlimited access to WiFi Hotspots from The Cloud
* Free 12 month trial of McAfee Internet Security Suite
PRICE: £10 Per Month (FREE for the First 6 Months)
The above service is only available via Sky’s unbundled (LLU) broadband platform, which covers around 83% of the UK population but will be extended to 88% by June 2013. Also take note that there’s a small £2.18 delivery charge for the router. This new promotion will be available until 14th February 2013.
