Budget conscious ISP Primus Saver has today moved to undercut some of the UK markets biggest internet providers by launching a new Unlimited Broadband package of its own, which will cost from just £2 a month for the first six months of service (£4 thereafter).
Primus’s previous “unlimited” package (Primus Max) was priced at a still fairly low £8.99 a month but the new one is significantly cheaper and offers many of the same facilities. As usual customers will need to take Primus Saver’s own line rental service alongside the bundle, which costs from £10 a month if paid 12 months in advance or £14.50 when paid monthly.
Primus Savers Unlimited Broadband
* Typical download speeds of up to 15Mbps (24Mbps ADSL2+ tech)
* Free evening and weekend UK calls
* Unlimited Downloads
* UK based customer service
* Free Wireless Router (one-off £7.95 delivery charge)
* Free Activation
* Free Technical Support
* 18 Month ContractPRICE: £2 a month (£4 after the first 6 months)
Primus states that “no traffic management or download limits apply for Primus Saver Unlimited broadband” and the special introductory half-price offer with free activation is expected to run until 30th June 2013.
Potential customers should also take note that the above price only applies if you pay by Direct Debit and other payment methods will cost an extra £2 per month. Similarly customers who prefer to receive a paper bill will also be charged an additional £2 per month.
The new service is intended to compliment Primus’s super-cheap £1.20 a month broadband package, which is similar to the above offer but sports a 20GB usage allowance. As ever it’s worth remembering that cheap doesn’t always mean cheerful, so don’t expect top performance from such cheap deals.
