The national NextGen Conference is fast racing towards its headline event in London between 14-15th October 2013, which gathers representatives from the UK telecoms and broadband market together to discuss plans for related services to help stimulate economic regeneration and tackle the government’s ever changing approach.
The show will also unveil the winners of this year’s NextGen Digital Challenge Awards 2013, which aims to showcase the best in next generation digital access infrastructure and innovative applications across the United Kingdom. An exhibition and trade show will also run alongside the conference.
According to NextGen, Wembley is known for its next generation telecoms services, where “every home and building is pre-wired with the Velocity1 digital network system” (a subsidiary of Magnet Networks) that provides residents with “one of the fastest broadband services in the UK“.
Mark Kellett, CEO of Magnet Networks, said:
“We’re future internet focused and have seen first-hand the local economic benefits in developing smart buildings right up to smart city areas and the potential a collective national direction could mean for the country’s growth. We’re delighted to be part of NextGen 13 which is helping steer this national direction and with the events location in one of the most connected areas of London it provides a brilliant backdrop to discuss connectivity and smart networks.”
Marit Hendriks, Director at NG Events, added:
“This year we are calling for representation from all of the industries within the UK driving innovation and change, to join us in London. Technology is key to almost everything we do. As a technology neutral platform we want to encourage progress, knowledge and understanding.”
The event itself will be staged at the brand new Hilton London Wembley hotel, next to Wembley Stadium in London. Apparently technology tours of the local area will also be on offer including Brent’s state of the art Civic Centre and Wembley Stadium and Arena (tbc). An agenda will be published shortly.
