Internet and communications provider Urban Wimax has rebranded to Luminet following their recent acquisition of Vital Group and a fresh investment of £2.15 million into new technology infrastructure, which is supported by Santander’s Breakthrough programme.
According to Sasha Williamson, previously the CEO / Founder of Urban Wimax and now leader of Luminet, “We are committed to being at the forefront of technology and innovation, bringing business customers the most advanced solutions in the market. With Urban Wimax we were the first business to commercially launch Wimax services in the UK – the business was a huge success, with turnover growing year on year, and a healthy Ebitda profit margin.”
“However, we couldn’t rest on our laurels – the market is shifting. The next era in business technology is the application of intelligence, so that businesses can really see what is happening across their networks and configure applications and policies appropriately. This market of ‘intelligent managed services’ is set to explode over the next couple of years; so we are thrilled to be pioneering it with great solutions, supported by best in breed technology and partners.”
The fixed line / fixed wireless broadband and Ethernet provider said that they would be releasing details of their channel programme in the “coming months” and will also be issuing information on a new mobile proposition for businesses and ISPs.
