New customers who take BT’s entry-level FTTC superfast broadband bundle (BTInfinity 1 + Weekend Calls) for £10 per month should note that the ISP has increased its monthly usage allowance from 20GB to 40GB, albeit only for a limited time. On top of that they also intend to re-add the £75 and £125 Sainsbury’s gift vouchers to their packages.
However it’s worth pointing out that the new usage allowance increase, which looks set to run until 30th September 2015, occurs at the same time as the “unlimited usage” version of the same package is also still on sale.. and at the exact same price (at the time of writing this is only available for another 16 hours, but it’s not the best timing in the world).
As usual new customers will also need to take out BT’s Phone Line Rental, which currently costs either £16.99 per month as standard or £183.48 when pre-paid for a full year in advance (equivalent of £15.29 per month), but as we know those prices are also about to be hiked by around 6-7% (here) and so there’s some potential for confusion.
