A fix introduced earlier this morning means that customers of Sky Broadband should finally be able to access the PlayStation 4 based online multiplayer video game called ‘Rocket League’, which has been largely inaccessible since the end of last month
The details are still a little sketchy, but somehow the late September 2015 release of Sony’s new v3.0 software update for their PlayStation 4 console managed to prevent Sky Broadband customers in the United Kingdom from accessing Rocket League’s Internet servers.
A few subscribers were able to circumvent the issue by changing the ISPs DNS servers to use OpenDNS or another free alternative, but not everybody was comfortable with doing that and it didn’t always work perfectly. On 2nd October Rocket League’s publisher finally reached out to Sky for help, although Sky didn’t officially acknowledge the issue until a couple of days later.
We're aware Sky Broadband customers are unable to access Rocket League. We're working on this to resolve ASAP.

Unfortunately four more days had to pass, with gamers growing increasingly impatient, until an update posted this morning by the game’s publisher finally confirmed that a fix had been introduced by Sky to hopefully resolve the problem.
SKY UPDATE: @SkyUK has notified us that some improvements have been made to the server issue. Please tell us if you xp any further problems.

As usual we’re not told what these “improvements” are and the week long problem never even got so much as the briefest of mentions on Sky’s Service Status page, which often only appears able to reflect major network outages.
Otherwise the fix was introduced so early this morning that there hasn’t yet been much time for gamers to wake-up in the UK and test it, although the few that have tried appear to be complaining of extremely high latency (lag) times. So far as we’re aware the same issue has not affected PC players of the same game on Sky connections.
