Sheffield-based ISP ASK4, which serves businesses as well as student accommodation and homes in multi-tenant buildings, has announced that five new UK student housing developments have gained access to their 100Mbps capable broadband service.
The Student Housing Company states that some 1,700 students across Ablett House (Liverpool), The Courtrooms (Bristol), Ayton House (St Andrews), Aaran House (Edinburgh) and Brae House (Edinburgh) can now access the service. Further sites could follow in the future and ASK4 seem likely to be involved in a few of those.
Bob Crompton, CEO of The Student Housing Company, said:
“Students are looking for more than just a room and The Student Housing Company has implemented new features across our portfolio to improve all facilities. This includes 100Mb internet as standard (delivered by ASK4 Broadband), sockets under mirrors for hairdryers and straighteners, USB sockets in headboards for mobile phones, plus huge pin boards to allow students to personalise their space. We know that details like these appeal to students demanding more from their residences.”
End.
