Communications and TV provider Virgin Media has today extended the discount period on their various ‘up to’ 50Mbps to 200Mbps capable broadband and phone bundles, which means that new customers can now get a reduced price for 12 months instead of the previous 9 month offer period.
As usual the discounts only apply when the ISPs cable broadband service is bundled with Virgin Phone Line Rental for NEW customers, which costs an additional £16.99 per month or the equivalent of £13.66 when pre-paid for a year in advance.
All customers are subject to an 18 month contract and receive a free SuperHub wireless router, unlimited usage, as well as unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines (inc. 0870 numbers and Virgin Mobile numbers), free access to Virgin’s WiFi hotspots (e.g. London Underground Stations), free Internet security + Parental Controls, free email, free self-install with QuickStart and 5GB of free online storage.
Take note that some packages give you more online storage than others and Virgin Media also offers various TV “Big” bundles, which we’ve listed below (the Big bundles come with a shorter 9 month offer period). The triple-play packages can also be taken with an optional mobile service.
