Perhaps unsurprisingly EE has once again been shown to deliver the fastest Mobile Broadband (3G and 4G) Internet speeds at all three of London’s main airports – Gatwick (LGW), Heathrow (LHR) and London City (LCY).
The latest results stem from a series of recently published performance studies from RootMetrics (here, here and here), which sadly lump the performance for both 3G and 4G based networks together. Overall EE delivered the fastest median Internet download speeds (topping 27.3Mbps at LHR), while O2 was the slowest.
Interestingly the gap between operators at LCY was somewhat smaller, which is perhaps due to the airport benefiting from its inner city position and the stronger nearby network signals.
