Luminet Goes Wholesale with its 1Gbps Fibre Air Wireless Broadband

Friday, Aug 12th, 2016 (10:27 am) - Score 1,658

Wireless ISP Luminet has announced that their “Fibre Air” wireless network, which can offer customers ‘up to’ 1Gbps of symmetrical broadband Internet connectivity, is now being made available to wholesale by its partners (currently numbering more than 50) under a new channel programme.

The Microwave based service itself is being aimed at the business market and positioned as both a competitor or complement to fibre optic based Leased Lines. Apparently the service can be installed in as little as just 5 working days (fibre optic lines may require up to 90 days) and there’s also the option of a 100% Service Level Guarantee (SLA),

The new programme itself is based on three options: Wholesale white label (usually layer two interconnected), layer three where the reseller can bill customers themselves or alternatively Luminet can bill the customer on behalf of their partner. All partners are supported with sales material, training and a dedicated account manager.

Sasha Williamson, CEO of Luminet, said:

“We pride ourselves on having one of the most compelling channel propositions in the market – our very generous margins, 100% SLA help VAR’s monetise their suite of OTT services quickly bringing revenue forward and increasing customer satisfaction, perfectly addressing the ever demanding connectivity requirements of SMEs today. Also, giving our partners an answer to businesses short-term connectivity demand will perfectly complement their product portfolio and provide a valuable new revenue stream.

Because our Fibre-Air service works over the rooftops, utilising wireless microwave technology, it avoids the need for unnecessary construction works such as digging up the ground, which means it can be installed incredibly quickly sold in tandem with Fibre Leased Lines. It comes with a 99.95% Service Level Agreement, giving both our partners and their customers the confidence that they have a resilient service that they can truly depend upon.”

End.
