Fibre optic network builder Cityfibre, which has established a number of largely business and public sector focused FTTP broadband and Ethernet networks around UK cities, today claims to have “achieved full ISO certification in all core management systems” and all within the space of just 12 months.
Certification helps to show that a business can deliver a consistent level of quality, security and or service, which must usually be regularly reviewed. In this case Cityfibre has worked with NQA, a UK certification body, to achieve a number of useful certifications for their network.
Cityfibre’s Certifications
· ISO 9001- Quality Management System
· ISO 14001- Environmental Management System
· ISO 22301- Business Continuity Management System
· ISO 27001- Information Security Management System
· OHSAS 18001- Occupational Health and Safety Management System
NQA’s Managing Director, Matt Gantley, said: “We are delighted to have supported CityFibre in this tremendous achievement. Certification in all of these management systems requires strong leadership and a clear commitment to linking strategy with business processes as well as continuous improvement in quality, safety, environmental performance and risk prevention and control. To achieve this within 12 months shows very clear focus and dedication from CityFibre and their people.”
