The Post Office has joined the summer discount club by slashing the price of their ‘up to’ 38Mbps and ‘up to’ 76Mbps capable unlimited “fibre broadband” (FTTC) and phone bundles for the first 18 months of service. On top of that their one-off activation fee has been cut from £60 to £30.
New customers can expected to receive an 18 month contract term, an included wireless router, included line rental, free weekend calls to UK landlines, “totally unlimited” usage, free UK support and a free online tool (Parental Controls) that helps block harmful or inappropriate content online. Various calling add-ons are also available at extra cost.
Sadly no upload speeds are mentioned alongside the Fibre packages and these weren’t supplied as part of the ISP’s personal estimate either (order process), although we can guess what they are for the 17Mbps (ADSL) and 76Mbps (FTTC) profiles.
