UPDATE Vodafone UK Offers Home Broadband Service with £199 Gift

Communications provider Vodafone has decided that being one of the cheapest providers of unlimited “fibre broadband” (FTTC) services isn’t good enough and so they’re giving new and upgrading customers a “cool gift” worth up to £199, provided you order before 9th September 2017.

The provider is also offering a credit worth up to £100 to cover any cancellation charges that you may incur through early termination of your previous broadband contract, although we understand that this can’t be taken alongside the new gift promotion.

Otherwise the gift choices are as follows: Sonos PLAY:1 Wireless Speaker (black or white), Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC Wireless Headphones, Fitbit Charge 2 (black, small or large), TomTom Bandit Action Camera or a £75 prepaid Mastercard® card.

The following packages include a wireless router, unlimited usage, phone line rental and an 18 month contract term.

Unlimited Standard Broadband 17 (up to 17Mbps)
PRICE: £25 per month + £49 one-off setup fee (£24 for existing users)

Unlimited Fibre (up to 38Mbps)
PRICE: £25 per month

Unlimited Fibre (up to 76Mbps)
PRICE: £30 per month

We haven’t seen Vodafone do much in the way of special offers on their home broadband packages and so this is somewhat of a rarity, which may reflect confidence in their growing market position. However it’s worth pointing out that you won’t be able to choose your gift until the broadband service is active and you have completed their 30 day cooling off period (usually about 44 days after purchase).

UPDATE 2:27pm

We’ve corrected the article because apparently the £100 cancellation credit can’t be used alongside Vodafone’s new gift promotion.
