New and upgrading Full Fibre customers on UK ISP BT, specifically those who are signing up to their 500Mbps and 900Mbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) packages, will now also receive an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription “at no extra cost” for the first 6 to 12 months (normal price from Microsoft is £10.99 per month).
Generally, customers will get 6 months free on their 500Mbps plan and 12 months free on 900Mbps. Existing BT home broadband customers, including those who aren’t on full fibre, will also be able to access Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via their MyBT account for the slightly discounted price of £10 per month.
The pass itself gives you access to Microsoft’s huge library of games (inc. cloud gaming), online multiplayer, as well as exclusive member discounts and various in-game perks or partner offers. The pass was originally designed for use alongside their Xbox video game consoles, but these days you can also use it on the PC and mobile devices (provided you have a game controller).
The announcement has only just dropped into our inbox and often there’s a small time-lag before it actually shows up on BT’s site (we’re unable to check due to not having a MyBT account).
@Mark – It looks to be 6 months free on the 500Mbps and 12 months free on the 900Mbps package
Updated, thanks.
Would check in My BT for you Mark, but it’s not too happy right now (can’t login)
I cannot login to MyBT either , must be down
Glad it’s not just me, when trying via the App it reckons there aren’t any active services associated with my account (YIKES!) despite using it happily for over a year 😛 Someone definitely pressed the wrong button somewhere along the line.
I’m on 900Mbps but it still says £10 a month
It looks like it’s for new and upgrading customers, not existing ones like us.
