Mobile operator EE UK has today updated their Pay Monthly 4G mobile plans for new and existing customers, which focuses more on differentiating price by data allowance. The plans also offer new add-ons for faster mobile broadband speeds, BT Sport content and international roaming.

The ISP division of high street retailer John Lewis has today reintroduced a promotion that they briefly experimented with last year, which offers a “free” Google Home smart speaker to any new customers who subscribe to their ADSL or superfast FTTC based “fibre” broadband and phone services.

Cable operator Virgin Media has today further reduced the price of their discount offer on bundles of phone and ultrafast broadband, which for example means that monthly prices will start at £29 per month for the 50Mbps package rather than £32 (applies for the first 12 months of service).

Customers of SSE (Southern Electric) should note that the ISP is changing the monthly price of all phone and broadband packages for non-existing SSE energy customers, which means that those without an energy plan will no longer pay a £5 surcharge on their monthly bill for the first 12 months.

Mobile operator O2 will tomorrow cut the charges on their Classic Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) SIM from 5p a min calls, 5p a text and 5p per Megabyte of data (Mobile Broadband) to just 3p a min for calls, 2p a text and 1p per MB, which matches Three UK’s allegedly “unbeatable” pricing.

Energy provider First Utility has launched a new sale that will run until 22nd January 2018 and cuts the monthly price of their ‘up to’ 38Mbps and 76Mbps superfast broadband (FTTC) and phone bundle packages to £27.99 and £29.99 per month respectively for new customers.
