As most people known BT’s Consumer ISP division has long offered a range of broadband packages with capped usage allowances, at least it did until today as the options have been removed in order to avoid confusion. At the same time they’ve cut the price of their unlimited usage options.

BT’s Consumer ISP division has started to push their ultrafast 200-300Mbps Fibre-to-the-Premise (FTTP) based broadband packages (Infinity 3 and 4) a bit by reducing the monthly prices for new subscribers and adding a Reward Card (MasterCard) worth £125.

Edinburgh-based provider TenTel have tweaked the prices on a number of their broadband (inc. phone line rental) packages, although the biggest discounts appear to have been introduced for their superfast unlimited “fibre broadband” (FTTC) options.

Communications provider EE will later this morning remove the £25 one-off connection fee from all of their superfast “Fibre Broadband” (FTTC) and phone line rental packages. However the monthly price of their TV and broadband bundles will separately increase by up to £3.

Last October we revealed that energy supplier First Utility was planning to launch their own UK fixed line home broadband and phone service (here), which initially only went live for existing customers. The good news is that their FTTC “fibre” and ADSL based packages are now live for everybody.

UK ISP PlusNet Business has today reduced the price of their ‘up to’ 76Mbps (19Mbps upload) Unlimited Business Fibre Broadband (FTTC) and Line Rental bundle to £28.50 +vat per month for the first 24 months of service (£43.50 thereafter), which is available to order until 12th April 2017.

Budget ISP Plusnet has further reduced the price of their unlimited “fibre broadband” (FTTC) packages today, with their ‘up to’ 38Mbps service being cut to £25 a month for 18 months (£32.98 thereafter) and their 76Mbps option dropping to £30 for the same period (£37.98 thereafter).

We’ve not seen any special offers from Sky Broadband’s range of superfast “fibre broadband” (FTTC) packages for quite a long time but all of that just changed after they introduced a range of 18 month discounts, which significantly cuts the monthly rental.
