Fibre optic UK network builder Cityfibre has announced that the CEO of their sibling business connectivity focused ISP Entanet, Elsa Chen, has been appointed to the new role of Chief Customer Officer. Elsa will now be responsible for CF’s end-to-end customer experience strategy across all market verticals.

Entanet has announced that businesses within reach of their parent company’s (Cityfibre) Dark Fibre network, which is present in parts of over 50 cities across the United Kingdom, can now order their Ethernet Flex service for just £199 +vat per month. This offers a guaranteed rate of 200Mbps (symmetric) but can burst to 1Gbps.

A number of Vivaciti‘s customers have reported being incorrectly billed by the broadband ISP after their billing switched from being in-house to Entanet (now part of Cityfibre), which related to a change of their wholesale provider (note: phone lines are still with Vivaciti and the RID code is unchanged).

Entanet has called for the new UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, to sack the Digital Economy Minister, Ed Vaizey. The ISP claims that Ed is “failing to engage adequately” with ISPs and suffers from a “lack of experience” in the telecoms field, which they believe means he has “not been effective“.
