CBC - Capacity Based Charging
Date Posted: 27 July, 2009 | Views: 948 | Article ID: 81

Some technologies supplied by telephone operators, such as certain implementations of ADSL broadband, require ISP's to pay a fee for the bandwidth their customers are likely to consume during any given period. Sometimes the cost of this bandwidth can also be different depending on the time of day (usage during peak periods will cost the ISP more, a cost usually passed on to end-users). This is known as Capacity Based Charging.
