Popular UK ISP Zen Internet is to buy a "
prestigious" new HQ building during early 2008. The move will bring staff from its current three sites to a single location at Holiday House in Sandbrook Park, Rochdale:
Zen had been planning to relocate to Kingsway Business Park in 2010 but the companys rapid growth has produced the need to bring forward these plans.
The new site of Holiday House was constructed by the Co-op in 1995, the same year that Zen launched, and the Internet Service Provider (ISP) feels as passionately about creating new employment opportunities and bringing good fortune to Rochdale as the Co-operative founders did. The ISP is demonstrating its commitment to remain in Rochdale, the town where it was founded, and is hopeful that the grant will be awarded to enable the move to go ahead.
Zen currently employs over 260 staff and the additional 150,000 sq ft of high quality office space at the new location provides a clear path for recruitment and continued growth of the company. The building will include a data centre facility, extensive landscaping and car parking with easy access to the motorway networks.
However, before the move can go ahead Zen must first be awarded a grant from the North West Development Agency (subject to contract).
