The Office of the Telecommunications Adjudicator (OTA) has issued its latest monthly (November) report, claiming that the UK is on track to unbundle (
LLU) 1,000,000 lines by the end of 2006.
Presently 163,000 lines have been unhooked, up roughly 23,000 over October's 140,000. The current run rate of line orders is greater than 5,000 per week, another increase over the previous months 4,000.
Improvements have also continued to be made in the realm of order provisioning and error reduction, which had been partly responsible for delays experienced by subscribers to
Bulldog and several other
LLU based broadband ISP's.
Overall it would appear as if demand for
LLU products has increased significantly.
