Heathrow Express Train Goes Wi-Fi
By: MarkJ - 26 April, 2007 (8:45 AM)

The Heathrow Express train service, which runs a route between London Paddington and Heathrow airport, has been upgraded to include Wi-Fi (wireless) Internet access coverage.

Its T-Mobile based network will provide passengers with access to broadband connection speeds of up to 2Mbps, including when the train passes through a 6Km long stretch of tunnel.

Sadly it's not free and commuters will need to purchase an access card for the 15minute journey. It's unclear how much this will cost. Heathrow Express runs 150 services with an overall average of 15,000 passengers every day.
