Virgin Media (formerly ntl:Telewest) has published its first combined Q4-2006 results since becoming the new brand -
here. The group ended 2006 with a total of 3,058,500 cable broadband customers; an extra 260,800 came from Virgin.net's ADSL packages to make for an overall total touching 3,319,300.
Elsewhere there's very little new information, except for another mention of their forthcoming 20 and 50Mbps packages:
As an end-to-end network owner, cable has inbuilt advantages in the quality of broadband service that we offer. Customers can receive consistent speeds no matter where they live on our network and a top speed of 10Mb is available throughout our broadband addressable areas. We will be increasing this to 20Mb in June and we are also currently conducting a residential trial of a 50Mb broadband service.
