Supanet Pleased By Ofcom's New Migration Rules

UK ISP Supanet has become the latest provider to tout an increase in signups following the introduction of Ofcom's new broadband ADSL migration code (MAC) rules:

It's one month since the broadband regulations changed and made it easier for people to switch internet provider and after all the waiting the results are showing a massive increase in sign ups to Supanet's broadband service.

David Hankinson, Sales Manager for Supanet, said: "We congratulate OFCOM on their decision to enforce the MAC code ruling, it's now easy for broadband customers to switch provider and we're reaping the benefits."

There’s now clear evidence that users are moving more freely between ISP’s, which is naturally going to impact those providers experiencing problems. Unfortunately the system still isn’t perfect, as the recent collapse of Biscit has shown. Then again there was a time when such a situation could have resulted in users being without broadband for considerably longer.
