Customers of
Virgin Media have a lot of reasons to be angry with their provider (vanishing TV channels etc.) and today’s news that telephone calls to the technical support department will now cost 25pence per minute won't help.
The change will take affect from 1st July next month and are being blamed on a surge in "
general enquiries" as opposed to true calls for help. Presently the provider charges a standard local rate fee.
To be fair some ISP’s charge a lot more than 25p, but nobody likes having to pay extra. Hopefully it brings some tangible improvements, rather than merely capitalising on a high call volume.
