The Carphone Warehouse (AOL UK, TalkTalk etc.) has managed to increase its broadband subscribers by a further 126,000 net adds in the last quarter to 30th June 2007, making for an impressive total of 2.4m.
Roughly 40% of that figure (966,000) are connected through the ISP's unbundled (
LLU) network:
We continued to make good progress on the development of our next generation network, and by the end of June we had 1,247 fully unbundled TalkTalk exchanges and 465 partially unbundled AOL exchanges. The project to integrate backhaul across both networks is nearly complete and the next few months will see a significant acceleration in the AOL exchange roll-out programme.
Sadly Carphone has not released split results for AOL UK and TalkTalk, thus its difficult to tell how those respective brands have performed.
