Business ISP Datanet suffered a serious power outage yesterday that caused the providers Internet access and e-mail to be offline for much of the day. Unfortunately the problem also impacted its power distribution circuit, rendering backup power inoperable too.
E-mail and other services should now be on the road to restoration, although no doubt some customers will be seeking to claim against the ISP's Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Meanwhile another ISP, Fast4, was hit by an outage of its suppliers (EurISP) radius servers preventing customers from connecting. The problem was resolved yesterday morning after a night of turmoil.
