We've been busy trying to find out what's going to happen once Tiscali formally acquires
Pipex's customers, including subsidiaries
Bulldog and
Nildram etc. Naturally nobody is willing to talk until after the deal has been approved, but we did manage to get one small statement out of
Pipex:
Statement: On 13 July Tiscali made an offer to
Pipex Communications PLC for its broadband and voice business, which includes
Pipex Internet, Toucan,
Nildram, freedom2surf and the customer base of
Bulldog.
The offer will be reviewed by shareholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) which will take place in the next few weeks.
Throughout the acquisition process, it is business as usual for
Pipex and we can reassure customers that there will be no interruption in service.
Nothing new, although we doubt the deal will be rejected.
