Point-Topic has reported that more people than ever before are making use of Internet access features on their mobile phones. The number using a mobile Internet connection has tripled in the last 12 months from 4.8% to over 16%:
60% would like to be able to email on the move, more than 45% want to be able to browse and search the Internet, over 30% would like do their banking while mobile.
The survey was carried out during December 2006 by Ipsos MORI and YouGov. They interviewed a representative national sample of 6,500 households in the UK. More
