O2) has announced that it will be launching a new “
888” promotion, where new customers can take advantage of 'up to' 8Mbps broadband (1.3Mbps upload) for just £8 per month until the end of 2008.
The package, called '
Be Value' (original cost: £14 per month), has naturally been designed for light online usage. Despite that it will still offer "
unlimited usage", a free 24/7 support hotline and a free wireless Be Box modem:

This “888” promotion, along with the additional features that are included in the package, means that for customers who Be Broadband is their life-support system we will deliver the best Be Value possible.”
It's noted that '
Be Value' will be £8 for the rest of 2008, then the normal price of £14 a month from January 1st 2009. New customers are also subject to a £24 connection fee.
