The latest research from the Mobile Data Association (MDA) has revealed that 16.43 million people viewed mobile Internet pages during May 2008, which is down from 17.46 million in April a month earlier. However, the overall trend remains upwards, highlighting a 25% growth since May 2006.

The MDA predicts that mobile Internet use will continue to grow by 20% come 2009. These figures do not appear to include people using Mobile Broadband connections via their laptops.
