Virgin Media Snaps up ITV Players IPTV Content
By: MarkJ - 09 January, 2009 (9:16 AM)

Content from ITV's broadband Internet TV service, ITV Player, will now be available over Virgin Media's Video on Demand (VoD) platform thanks to a new deal. The move follows a similar arrangement with the BBC's iPlayer service last year.

VM's 3.5 million TV customers will now be able to view over 40 hours of programming from ITV1, 2, 3 and 4 each week. Popular shows such as Coronation Street and Emmerdale will all be made available for seven days after being broadcast as part of VM's free Catch up TV service.

Viewers will also be able to choose from 500 hours of ITV comedies, documentaries and dramas, all ready to watch at any time on demand.
