Vodafone claims that it is nearing the final stages of its May 2008 Mobile Broadband (HSPA) network upgrade plan (original news). This involved extending and enhancing the coverage to three million more people in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Reading.

Manchester is reportedly now the next on Vodafone's list for upgrades, which should be completely finished by the end of this autumn. Recent research showed Vodafone to be one of the fastest Mobile Broadband operators in the UK, often achieving average speeds of over 2Mbps.
