Popular UK ISP
Be Broadband has today launched a beta of their new members-only gaming portal,
Be Gamer. Looking not unlike a blog page, Be states that the new site only has limited functionality at the current time, though they have already outlined a number of future additions to the site based upon user feedback:
Felix Geyr, Managing Director of
Be Broadband, said: “
Through initiatives such as Be Gamer.co.uk and partnerships with exciting gaming companies such as EnemyDown, Be really is the first choice for all serious gamers.
Be Gamers gain an advantage over everyone else through Be’s industry leading ping times, meaning that if you have Be Broadband you’ll be able to act and react faster than your opponents.
With the launch of Be Gamer, we hope to cultivate an active and vibrant community for all gamers, and in time build value for our members that they won’t get from any other ISP.”
The launch of begamer.co.uk also follows Be’s recent partnership with Enemy Down, which has seen Be sponsor the European-wide Eurokrieg CS:S tournament that culminated last night in a live streaming event in the Haymarket Sports Café during London Games week.
Be also created a Be Mixes system on Enemy Down’s site where players of Counter Strike: Source can turn up, join a lobby and within minutes be engrossed in a match with other like-minded gamers.
