BT Launches FREE Mobile Broadband Service for Businesses

Customers of BT's up to 8Mbps land-line based Total Business Broadband packages, specifically those on options 2 (£26.99 per month +vat) or 3 (£40.50 per month +vat), will now also receive a "free" Mobile Broadband (1GB monthly data allowance) service when the package is taken with a 24 month contract.

The mobile service is based on a wholesale product provided by Vodafone UK and includes an E170 USB Datastick / Modem (Dongle). It will also be available to existing customers, provided they take the longer contract option.

It's important to mention that a charge of £12.50 per month for Mobile Broadband access will apply after the minimum term. The deal also includes 2,000 Wi-Fi (Hotspot) minutes, which is a big increase over option 2's default of 250.

Unused allowances cannot be rolled over to the next month. If usage allowances are exceeded charges apply: 10p per extra MB; 10p per extra wi-fi minute (£40 per month cap). Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other BT offer.

Naturally BT has also started offering a standalone 'Business mobile broadband' package, which costs £17.50 per month including a 3GB data allowance and 4,000 Wi-Fi minutes per month.
