Customers of Orange's broadband service suffered problems accessing their e-mail and websites last weekend after an unspecified technical issue with a third party supplier impacted the network.

Speaking to the ISP an Orange spokesperson gave us the following response and apologised for any inconvenience caused:

"We can confirm that Orange Broadband customers experienced difficulty accessing Orange email addresses and some websites over the weekend (26 - 27 January 2008). This was due to a technical issue with a third party supplier. Engineers worked hard to resolve the problem and full service has now been restored. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
