O2 (Be) has confirmed earlier rumours that mobile phone customers on its Pay&Go (PAYG) services will be granted access to its home broadband products for the same price as pay monthly customers. Sadly there is a small catch:
All O2 Pay&Go customers topping up a minimum of £10 in the 3 months before their broadband bill date will be eligible for the new O2 Broadband price points, meaning both Pay & Go and Pay Monthly customers will be offered the same unbeatable package, paying from just £7.50 a month.
From Friday 22nd February, the available price plans for active O2 Pay&Go and O2 Pay Monthly customers will be:
- Standard Package at £7.50 per month for up to 8 meg*
- Premium Package at £10 per month for up to 16 meg*
- Ultimate Package at £15 per month for speeds of up to 20 meg*
* exact speed depends on factors such as the customers distance from the exchange. Non-O2 customers pay a £5 per month supplement on each price point.
O2's ADSL2+ based unbundled (
LLU) broadband packages offer speeds of up to 20Mbps, wireless router and UK-based support among other things.
