Cable Forum reports that Virgin Media is teaming up with Highwinds, a creator of Usenet server software and content, to deliver an enhanced Newsgroup system. The new service is expected to be faster, provide 7 day retention for binaries and 90 day retention for text; it's expected to go live before the summer.
