PC World Offers Mobile Broadband & FREE Laptop Deal

Posted: 03rd Feb, 2008 By: MarkJ
Computer retail giant PCWorld has launched a new promotion offering a "free" Advent laptop when you subscribe to Three’s 3GB (GigaByte) capped 'Mobile Broadband' service for 18 months at £35 per month.

In truth there is a selection of ten Laptops, although most including the forthcoming Apple MacBook Air are subsidised and cost extra. The specs for PCWorlds free laptop, which costs roughly £350 new, are not very detailed but we did manage to find some more official information:

Advent 9912
Intel Celeron M Processor C530 (1.73 GHz)
Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium
1 GB Memory
80 GB Hard Drive
12.1" Widescreen Display
Wireless Enabled
Weight 1.83 Kg
Lithium Ion Battery
Silver Colour

In addition Three’s package also includes 200 free texts per month, a USB modem and it may be worth pointing out that the same package directly from Three costs just £15 per month with a longer 24 month contract.
