Mobile operator Three (3) UK has predicted that the number of people using 'Mobile Broadband' (3G) networks and technology (USB Modems etc.) to access the Internet via their laptops will surpass 1,000,000 by the end of 2008. It’s still a far cry from the 15m or so using land-line broadband ISPs but it's gaining ground fast.
