Following over a month of closure (to new customers), UK ISP Virgin.net has finally re-opened its broadband ADSL service to new registrations:
We have been taking a number of steps to improve Virgin.net Broadband and are pleased to announce that speed and quality have now returned to their previous high levels.
Over recent weeks we have:
- Added additional capacity which has given all our customers a better service.
- Successfully requested that customers using the service to excess reduce their usage significantly.
- Hired an extra 88 call centre agents to deal with customer queries.
Due to these improvements, we have begun to accept new Virgin.net Broadband customers again and have started by inviting registrations from people who have recently pre-registered their interest with us - you can pre-register your interest by emailing us here.
Over the next week or so, we will open Virgin.net Broadband to all applicants, whilst carefully controlling any sudden demand in order to protect the service quality for our current customers.
