NTL, in co-operation with Openware Inc., is reportedly planning an important upgrade to its e-mail platform. Little surprise that security improvements (anti-spam etc.) are at the heart of the changes:
At the centre of ntl's new email system will be Openwave's Email Mx 6 solution. This platform includes a new webmail interface and an anti-abuse module. Other third-party modules can then be added in, including anti-spam and anti-virus capabilities.
As part of the deal with Openwave, ntl will have access to the intriguingly-named "Broadband Competency Centre," where Openwave exchanges best-practice information among operators around the world.More @
