Summary: SDSA Promotions is happy with Eclipse
January 3rd, 2012 (Last Edited: January 3rd, 2012)
We moved to Eclipse just under 4 years ago from another company called Enta, we got the same package for half the price from Eclipse.

We also have hosted exchange with Eclipse which has saved us a massive amount of time and money as we no longer have to manage a server with Exchange on it.

Aside from the great uptime and stability we have experienced, perhaps the most important thing an ISP can provide is customer support and it's in this field that Eclipse really outshine every other provider we have ever used for internet based services and there have been a few over the last 11 years.

Earlier this year BT did the 21cn upgrade on our local excahnge, our connection went wild, on - off fast, slow it was crazy, we worked with Eclipse and BT to resolve this and the connection has been solid ever since.

If we were asked to recommend a broadband supplier we would have no hesitation in saying got to Eclipse.

All the best

Summary: Excellent ISP
July 22nd, 2011 (Last Edited: July 22nd, 2011)
Eclipse has been a solid, dependable ISP for over 3 years now, and until recently I have had little reason to speak with them - I paid the fair monthly price and received good connectivity (for where I live). I don't use their email or webspace options, just their connectivity.

In comparison to previous ISPs they seem to deliver higher performance over the long distance I am from the exchange.

But 3 months ago my connection was lost and it has taken significant investigation by BT OpenReach to finally locate the issue and repair it.

During this time I have worked closely with the Eclipse customer service team and was allocated a senior technical manager. I have found them to always be pleasant, polite and above all intelligent. Once past the standard tests and instruction they have come up with sound recommendations for tests to try and next steps to refine the search or rule out specific possibilities.

They have had the patience of saints working through BT Wholesale and BT OpenReach to get this issue escalated and resolved. I found it amazing how many issues with connections, the cabinet and cables BT found along the way. My router sync speed increased from 2meg to nearly 3 meg as a result - its amazing how poor some of the BT lines actually are, especially out of towns/cities.

With Eclipse I have always spoken to someone smart who understands what is going who is willing to help and go that extra mile to move things forward. Even when the BT OpenReach team has spoken to Eclipse they have been impressed, occassionally admitting that the Eclipse person knows as much (or more) than they do.

I would not hesitate to recommend Eclipse to others looking for a more advanced ISP who understand things way above the average low-cost box shifter.

I just need BT to get fiber out to the cabinet (or house) now to get anything faster :-)

I joined Eclipse four years ago, they stopped doing my 'package' and said I had to sign up to another which I did. Now I am going abroad and have cancelled the contract they have taken my start date as that of the new contract not the original......... so I have been a full paying customer for over four years and they have dumped a £50 early termination penalty on me and a £25 BT line termination fee on me too........... they make me sick, they are no more that thieves!!!!!!!!!!

Eclipse have to be the worst provider next to Sky I've ever met and the most awkward to get rid of. In order to cancel the service you must Write to the "by post" to their address which always somehow gets lost. They cap their speeds if you actually start to use their "unlimited" package. and shut any calls that you open without contact. The speeds are variable between hopeless and useless.

Never go with them, the first month is an illusion just wait until the third....
