Summary: Could of been better

I adore the support in terms of getting replies to tickets even at nearly midnight on weekends, however if you want something doing on your line you have to jump through hoops just to get them to do it. I didnt find them efficient when i was giving them the details of what they want and then they were being akward about it. The speed is ok but can have spikes and then it suffers for a while. I thought they were good after a smooth migration originally but if something goes wrong down the line i didnt feel the support could be depended on when a matter occurs at all. I want a provider who i can depend on if i want a minor change to my line if it will result in a better service for me, and doing it without a fuss. Not just stuck with it bouncing wall to wall for a resolution of a fault.

Summary: Terrible service, why are they in the top 10?

I had been with surfanytime for 3 years and up until around 6 months ago had experienced no issues with the service. However since January my connection has been almost completely useless. I contacted surfanytime's helpdesk on several occasions and was given the usual fob offs that my line was at fault and not their service.

I have recently (this morning) migrated to a new ISP and the difference is astounding. Before with surfanytime I was getting average download speeds of around 300 kbps, with my new ISP I am now getting well over 6000 kbps.

It is completely beyond me how this ISP gets such good ratings on this web site as my experience of them over the past 6 months has been extremely poor.

ANy time i've had a problem its been fixed quickly and professionaly.

 It's nice to call up an isp and get greeted in English (proper, not pigeon) with "Hello Mr McGowan, how are you ?" - absolutely priceless as I hadn't even opened my mouth to tell them who i was :)   I love this type of perosnal touch, very hard to come by today.

recently had a problem with lotr online and seen some advice on a gaming site connected to their other company so i gave them a call and my gaming is ziping along fine and dandy now.

Summary: could do a lot worse

Been with this ISP for about 2 months now after having a ton of problems with various ISP's. 

Have got to say very smooth migration - 4days. Speeds fluctuated for the first few days but settled to a steady 7MB.

Support is excellent and phone always answered quickly. Certainly not the cheapest I have been with but certainly worth the 25 pence a week more than my previous ISP.

 

 cant fault them!

SAT were a very good provider although we left them recently after moving house because we wanted faster speeds. SAT technical support were always helpful but we seemed to be having some speed issues recently, and felt it was time for a change. I would recommend them to someone who just needs basic internet, and still have family members using them who can\'t afford to spend anymore and can\'t get cable.
