I had to go for satellite after losing ADSL.



After phoning several providers (including the one mentioned below, who never even returned my call or answered email enquiries!) AVC seemed to fit the bill.



The speed is as advertised and the phone is answered quickly if you need technical support. And calls are returned as promised! They do an ethernet receiver at no extra cost thus avoiding the need for proxy software at all, and it networks perfectly: I\'ve connected it to a wireless router. Plus you can use your existing Sky dish.



Yes, a bit pricey, but same goes for most satellite providers.

After tring this ISP I would advise to look elsewhere !, although tech support is ok, the service and tools, proxy are well ..... I have seen much much better at broadbandss.com, the prices at AVC are way to expensive other providers are doing twice the bandwidth for under 1/2 of what AVC charge.

broadbandss.com also do a 16Mbs service cheaper than AVC`s 4mbs service .........
