Yes it's cheap but god lord is it slow. I can't even watch standard def YouTube videos sometimes and if someone else is surfing on the same connection it grinds to a halt. I was told 14mb/s on my line (I was getting 11 with my previous supplier) I actually get between 512Kb/s and 4.5Mb/s.
This is also coupled with the fact they did not apply my discount code to my bills and when they first switched it on I was left without service for a week that they still billed me for!!!!
Tech support is not bad depending on who you get, though be prepared for a long wait. I got one chap that was very helpful and did several tests and called me back 4-5 times trying to resolve a problem. Next guy I got was not interested and asked me to try something and call back, I said could you call me as I don't want to wait on hold for another half hour for an operater and he told me its not technically possible to do that at their end despite the fact I know they can from my experience the previous day.
One good aspect is you can change supplier within three months of your contract starting with no penalty, thank the lord, I set the wheels in motion to change after about 2 weeks.
You get what you pay for is the moral here.
I believe they have recently changed the back end of their supply and now use Cable and Wireless so my review is the one that is the more relevant now I think.

Well, I\\\'ve been with Tesco BB for 12 months now, so it\\\'s about time I gave them a review.
I\\\'ve very rarely had trouble connecting. Usually my computer is connected from 7am til midnight, and never have been cut off. On the rare occaisions that I have had to connect during peak time at around 6pm, there have been a couple of times where it took a couple of attempts to connect.
The download speeds are excellent, and right now 512kbs is adequate for my needs.
In the last 12 months there was one evening that I couldn\\\'t connect, but this was resolved the next day.
Would recommend to anyone on a budget.

I had this for just over a year and had a few problems toward the end, tried the tech support who would not respond save the automated emails. Tried calling but was told because of the age of my account (over 3 months) I could not talk to anyone!
In disugst switched my supplier what a good idea that was. I now have a far better product for less money (Euro1net)
Now I am in dispute over next months charges. I gave them a months notice moved over less than a month later and still they take money from my credit card after both dates! Obviously I am trying to get the money back BUT who needs this kind of hassle.
WHAT A DISGRACE!

Been wih Tesco since Anytime dialup for ?12/mo, which would disconnect about every 2 hours.
The price isn\\\'t anything special, at ?20/mo you get 1Mbit unlimited with webspace+e-mail(they lock you in for 12Mnths!).
Other ISPs offer lower prices but they always have bad service.
As for support, it ended up being 5 times before the problem was sorted. And software isn\\\'t great, we\\\'ve had issues with installation and corrupt winsocks/LSPs but blame speedtouch.
But I think it\\\'s pretty good broadband, you get solid, no-strings unlimited, broadband(contract) at a tolerable price with a free modem!
