Like noseburn below I was very happy with BE and their service until their provision declined rapidly. I still get my (contractual) 12Mbits during off peak hours but from 6-10 pm is back to the world wide wait (avg. 2 Mbits or less to share with the rest of the household). Not good enough. Will soon join the vast number of people leaving.

Been with Be since feb 2007.Out of the 3 problems i have had. There support could fix them or at least recognise there is a problem and work to get it solved. I was never once fobbed off with the old script of "Have you changed the filter?" .. "Have you checked your machine for viruses?" .. "Not our problem its BT's".All they offer is stable and fast access to the internet. That is all i ever wanted. Coming from UKOffline it was a sigh of relief.I have hit 250Gb in one month before.. didnt hear a thing, Now being owned by O2 there is a great deal of ££££££££'s being spent on the infrastructure. Ive had a couple of wobbly moments when bandwidth dropped a little.. But within a couple of days it was back, saying that it still ran faster than my old ukoffline 2mb. So i wasnt entirely fussed.You cannot go wrong with Be! :) Please tell me another ISP that would give you a free day on your birthday. Plus have a working friend referal scheme.. Ive had 5 free months so far.

Still a solid service.. 0 problems..
I have recommended them to all my friends since I first joined and they have no problems either.. All in all.. Im keeping Be :D

Sad to say 9 mbit doesnt cut it anymore and I am leaving Be. Had 50 meg virgin installed today.

Have been with them for more than 5 years, used to get 10m+ at all times, evenings included. In the last few months this has gone down to about 3 during the day and less than 2 in the evening.
If I call and complain, the speed goes up to 10+ as soon as i've told them my number (literally seconds, as fast as the speed check runs). It goes back down again a couple of hours later.
Used to be good, now definately not worth the £17+ they charge me. The reson I find myself on this site is I'm looking for another ISP.

I have, until now not had any reason to complain about Be... I have been a loyal customer now I have a problem, they seem completely unwilling/able to support me. My connection has slowed from the not exactly lightning speed of 6Mbps to ~ 0.8Mbps. Initially they were unwilling to support me as I wasn't using their modem, upon going back to their box the issue they say was with my router persisted, now all they say is everything is fine and they want to charge for an engineer visit! To make matters worse they seem to be completely unwilling to apologize!

I've been a customer of Be for 2.5 years largely with no problems. My line is only capable of 4.1mbps (distance from the exchange) but I always get that speed no matter what time of day or the nature of my usage. I'm a heavy p2p user so the unlimited usage is important and my connection never appears to have been throttled. On the occasions I've needed technical assistance Be have been exceptionally good. I did have a problem with drop outs when I first joined their service; the technical agents knew their stuff and stuck with it until they had got to the bottom of the problem and fixed it. They called when they said they would and the issue was resolved within a couple of days.
There's not much in the way of additional services (webspace, emails, antivirus etc) but if you want an unlimited unthrottled service with knowledgeable and accessible technical support then Be, from my experience, is excellent.
