I migrated to Namesco from Tiscali hell in May 2007 on the HomeMax+ 8mb Broadband (60GB allowance) for £25/mnth

Tiscali had failed to honour their obligations during the migration which meant downtime of around 3 weeks.

About 3 months in, my router refused to sync to the exchange. After going through all the usual checks a BT engineer came to my house and said all my equipment was fine. He then went to the exchange and reset my line card which resolved the issue. The Philips model of line card in my exchange is prone to this and it happened 3 more times over the next 4 months, resulting in several days downtime each time. BT refuse to talk to the end user directly so I asked Namesco to get BT to find a permanent solution (i.e. fix their exchange). After literally begging them to take the issue up with BT it was eventually sorted.

After that I have had many months of fast, reliable internet great for xbox live, web, ftp and email server, torrents, newsgroups the lot, all full speed, no complaints at all.

Sadly I was cut off last night for getting 3 copyright complaints. Quite gutted, I was a very happy customer ;(

(5 for value as the new packages are a joke, 1GB / Month?!)

Summary: Namesco
November 25th, 2009 (Last Edited: November 25th, 2009)
Have been using Namesco for over a year now and not had any problems. Using the Platinum service which costs less than my previous supplier and consistently delivers good downlink and uplink speeds despite living 3 miles from the exchange. Whenever I have called them they have answered the phone immediately and have been able to answer my queries.

Summary: Namesco - Excellent Service
March 22nd, 2009 (Last Edited: March 22nd, 2009)
I joined Namesco on 1st March 2009. My router arrived in 24 hours and I was told my line would go live in 7 days so I set the router up on the 5th day and to my suprise we already had internet.

I purchased the 2mb - 8mb line with 50gb usage for £24.99. My line is only capable of 3.5mb but I've been doing regular speed tests and i'm averaging 5mb. Which is great!

I cannot fault Namesco what so ever, so far i've had an Excellent Service

Summary: not good vfm anymore...
October 6th, 2007 (Last Edited: April 28th, 2008)
Migrated from NDO/Namesco Broadband. Was on 512k unlimited paying ?20 per month! Service/support was good, with low pings, but it was really annoying as they were just not competitive. (e.g. new pakages are ~same price and only have 1gb per month download alowance! pure crap!)

Would warn people off them as they are terrible vfm now, are obviously not interested in attracting new broadband customers anymore. On the way down. Watch out for fanboys who tout them as the best, they are severly deluded.

Now on Sky Max 16mb - ?10 per month.

No probs. So far, so good. Feel sorry for the poor suckers still paying way over the odds with Namesc
