I've now been with Fast for over a year (since May '07)..  And I must say they are simply fantastic.   

Whenever I've contacted them by email, I've had a response back in minutes (and I've never had to contact them about a problem yet that wasn't of my own making!).

When I've had to contact them by telephone, the telephone has immediately been picked up, within 2 or 3 rings,  by someone who is a native english speaker and knows what they are talking about.  I have no idea if they use hold music, because I've never had to be put on hold by them - the person who answers the phone also deals with my questions/requests.

I've not had a single day's downtime yet on their service, and the speeds are good, and the lack of interference from 'fair usage policies' is nice.

Obviously there are plenty of cheaper ISPs out there (and plenty of more expensive ones too!), but you really do get what you pay for with Fast.    I half expected them to start going downhill as time went on and they got busier, but when I had to call them this morning (regarding a change of bank details) I was still answered straight away by someone who could help me with the minimum of fuss, and the whole call lasted perhaps a minute.  

Cannot recommend them enough.

I have used Tiscali for over 3 years, and had nothing but problems, with line speeds, bandwith shaping, and support staff who cannot speak english, and read from the same song sheet.

 I switched to Fast.co.uk a month ago, and straight away they found a fault on my line, I have been complaining about to tiscali for over six months, it was fixed in one day.

  There customer service is first class, they know what they are talking about, and speak to you at your level of tech knowledge.

There speeds are great three times faster than any of my neighbours.

A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I was with Wanadoo (who I thought were not too bad) and stayed with Orange following their takeover.  One day last year, Orange sent me an e-mail saying I would be disconnected on such-and-such a date, since I had requested it!  I had done no such thing and when I contacted them, they said it was too late as the process had already started.  For the first time looked at ISP reviews, saw the excellent ratings given to 'fast' and went to them,  a wise choice.  I'm very satisifed with fast.  (The speed rating is probably down to my distance from the exchange).

I've just migrated back to Fast from IDNet.

Whilst i was very happy with IDNet service it just doesn't compare to Fast. Speeds have gone up via p2p etc and the support response time is second to none.

Maybe i made a mistake in leaving in the 1st place but i surely am glad i'm back!

Deserve to be the no.1 UK ISP!

 

I've been with Fast for just over a year after a torrid time with Pipex. Fast are without doubt the best ISP i've been with since starting out on the internet back in 1997. Terrific customer support (although you'll never need it....I only used it to obtain my password upon joining) And a bullet proof reliable connection.......(not dropped the connection even once in a year).....that combined with a 4.5Mb connection speed!.....Every other ISP told me my line would never go faster than 2Mb. Some people comment that it is pricey....however you really do get what you pay for with Fast. Honestly speaking they put other big name ISP's i've been with to shame.
