Cheap as chips and does what it should. The customer service is good, the broadband to the house is 75mbs, more than enough for us, we do have the wifi turned off and use a xiaomi wifi 6 router

I moved to Now broadband, having been with BT for a few years, and wanting to save some pennies.
I was attracted by the low cost, £20 per month for up to 30mb connection, plus free anytime phone calls. It was by far the cheapest deal out there.

Previously with BT, I’d rarely ever experienced severe lagging or any consistent reliability issues, and as we have an internal mesh network, coverage has always been good.

However, despite a very smooth move to NOW, that is where the good ends.

Immediately we noted the speed fluctuating massively at different times of day. We were used to streaming Netflix on multiple tvs without an issue, or playing music throughout the house.
TV programs now often became barely watchable and lag was terrible. Internet kept dropping out. I read up that the NOW service tries to determine the most reliable settings so we should expect fluctuations…. But this was crazy.
It settled to a barely usable level that meant we could barely use tablets or listen to music.
I factory reset the router and this time it’s settled slightly better… and we can watch Netflix at least on one tv. I still have to reboot the router occasionally to make it connect faster than 3mb…
Christmas Day was awful though, it could barely be used for the most basic things. Music would stop… videos couldn’t be played. Boxing Day slightly better…

On 22nd March 2021 I signed up with Now to move my Landline, broadband service and an inclusive calls package from Sky to Now. On 24th March the £5 charge for the NOW router was debited to my account. I received an email at 12:48 on the 22nd welcoming me to NOW and inviting me to set up an account, which I did. I later noticed that on the account "We are getting it ready" had been changed to "Cancelled" on the services. I phoned and NOW reinstated the order, I got a second welcome email at 14:28. This again got cancelled and after another phone call reinstated at 19:46. I then heard nothing until the expected day of transfer when I again phoned and was told they could not port the number from Sky (despite being under the same ownership) and I would have to accept a new number. They explained that there was a "known issue" but declined to give details. Today I have checked my account and again the services are "Cancelled". I was promised to be kept informed but have heard absolutely nothing. Sky had been trying to increase my monthly fee from £29 to £48, Now were offering £23 for a 12 month contract. I am beginning to suspect this is an anticompetitive measure to stop people migrating from the more expensive Sky to the less frills sister company. My account with Sky has never been arrears nor have I had any problems. Appalling customer service.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID
This really is a truly awful Internet service provider. Final straw was when I contacted Customer Services (AGAIN) I was put to 3 different advisers and had to explain 3 different times the same issue. They deny all responsibility and do everything they can to avoid a resolve. I have never ever came across such poor customer services, they try and pass the burden of blame elsewhere. One of the best excuses I had when trying to resolve the issue was that I am using the wrong web browser (even though I had tried Microsoft edge, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer & Safari) so I was told to download Firefox and this what definitely, without a shadow of a doubt resolve the problem. Guess what, even after following their advice to the letter it still did not resolve the issue.
I cancelled account and am now out of pocket.
This really is the worst provider I have unluckily had the misfortune to subscribe too. Do not be drawn if by any special offers you see on any comparison website, spend a fraction more on another provider if you have to as it will be worth it and you will save money in long run. If I could've gave it negative stars I would've.

Been with Now TV for a little under a year now, on their 38 Mbps 'Combo' FTTC/entertainment package.
Have to say, I'm pretty pleased with it.
I've got movies on top, so £40 a month all in for pretty much everything I used watch on Sky (paying about £35 p/m just for the TV) is a decent price, I feel.

I probably should have went on their contract tariff (paying £15) but wanted to try it out, and didn't want to commit, so paid the one off £40 for the monthly package (same monthly price).

Customer support is sometimes lacking (they may not reply to complaints raised online until you contact them asking why), and phone support can sometimes be a little frustrating.

All in all, not a bad service, and won't be leaving for a while yet!
