Awefufl ISP, I'm currently without broadband and a phone line and they do not care at all. I signed up for origin as the price was cheap. The initial communication I had from them were ok but of course once they had taken the money things went down hill - FAST.

Day of switchover came and went phone and broadband went off and never came back on. Phone just says it's engaged and has no dial tone. I phoned origin the next day in the afternoon in the hope it would be back on in the morning. Spoke with someone from tech about my phone not working and he said it was working and it would be £140 to fix it. He then transferred me to a very rude women in the provisioning team who was short and dismissive saying it had been raised with openreach already and would take 4 hours to get a response. I'm 100% sure she was lying and they had only just 'noticed' my broadband wasn't working.

So to recap I now have no phone with origin saying it's somehow my fault it's not working and no broadband with origin giving me no actual information on why it's not working or even apologising for it being broken. They seem completely unable to link my phone not working with my broadband not working and try to blame there customers for any issue.

UPDATE 1

Still without broadband and phone service three days after my supposed activation date. I have had NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL FROM ORIGIN during this time at all. I've phone them to chase them and and they are very good at saying 'yes I shall chase open reach up now' to which my answer is 'why do I need to phone you to prompt this to happen?'. The provisioning 'team' are very rude on the phone and do not seem to care at all.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT CHOOSE ORIGIN ITS CHEAP FOR A REASON.

UPDATE 2

Now 7 days without broadband or phone service. Not a single phone call email or txt from origin to update me on anything they are doing. I phoned again and this time the tech support guy was singing a song softy to himself in the background while I was talking, I'm honestly not making this up. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

UPDATE 3

Now 13 days without internet. BT engineer came to fix phone line after being told by Origin 'all faults on the line have been fixed' and nothing still working. The engineer fixed the line and confirmed that it had been set up incorrectly at the exchange (my copper cable was in the wrong socket or something). I had told ORIGIN the line was faulty the first day after activation failed there response 'the line passes the line check there is no fault on our end check your internal extensions' . Anyway the engineer also said the broadband was working and did a check on his equipment but advised the origin router was probably faulty as it wasn't showing a DSL signal. Phoned the idiots at origin, was on hold for 40 mins only to be told they 'need to run more checks on the line' and that the router isn't faulty despite not being able to see it on there system and suggested they might need to send out another engineer! What idiots.

This company just lies and blames others at every opportunity. AVOID AVOID AVOID
